Certified Pilates & Yoga Instructor
Rya Letham is a dedicated and experienced Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, and health educator who helps clients reconnect with their bodies through mindful movement, both online and in-person. With over 25 years of experience in the field of health and wellness, Rya empowers people of all ages and backgrounds to build strength, mobility, and resilience.
Rya holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Exercise Science) from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University. She is certified in Classical Pilates method of body conditioning through Whistler Pilates, is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500), and has completed advanced yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India, with a focus on Akhanda Yoga, meditation, and restorative practices. She is also certified in the Core Confidence program, which offers safe and effective postpartum core rehabilitation. She is an Original Strength Certified Professional Coach, exercises designed to build reflexive stability. She is also a Certified Nutrition and Detox Coach and certified in Reiki Method of Natural Healing Level 1
Rya teaches private and group classes in Pilates and yoga, offering both in-person sessions in Pemberton and virtual classes. Her teaching is informed by her deep understanding of movement science, her passion for education, and her lived experience as a mother of two. Her classes emphasize proper alignment, functional strength, and mindful breathing—whether you’re recovering postpartum, managing stress, or seeking to enhance athletic performance.
Rya has worked with a wide range of clients, including prenatal and postpartum women, seniors, children, and ESL learners. Her inclusive approach and calming presence make her classes welcoming and accessible to all levels. Passionate about both movement and nutrition, Rya brings a truly holistic perspective to her work.
